Month by Month

Here is a quick catch up on this little cutie!

Since Finley has learned to smile, she hasn't stopped.  She is the happiest baby!
Finley is so chubby! She just keeps getting more rolls.

Finley is such a wonderful addition to our family!  Her and Walker LOVE playing.  He is starting to realize that she isn't just a baby; she is fun! Walker can make her giggle unlike anyone else.  He is the funniest one in the house, according to Finley.  Tomorrow Finley is 7 months old.  Where has the time gone? I can hardly remember life when we were just a family of 3.

What she is up to at 7 months old:
- Sleeps 11-12 hours a night (has done this since 10 weeks. What a champ!)
- Nurses 4 times a day
- Eats solids 2-3 times a day
- Loves squash, bananas, avocado and green beans
- Hates anything with sweet potatoes
-Naps 2-3 times a day
- Loves sitting in the shopping cart and checking everything out
- Sits independently
- Rolls and scoots all over the floor to get toys
- Enjoys watching and grabbing for Baxter
- She is mommy's little buddy.  She is great at running errands and shopping!  We get to have a girls day while Walker is at preschool.
- Beginning to have a little separation anxiety
- Loves seeing Daddy come in the door
- Growing more hair (finally) and can wear a tiny bow
-Enjoys bouncing in the jumperoo. Walker even says, "Be careful, Finley."
- Has lots of nicknames courtesy of Walker. Little peanut, Little Sissy, Hunny Bun, our baby

We love you, baby Finley!  You have really enhanced our last 7 months!

The Hardest Thing...

Two kids has been a BIG adjustment! We have twice the fun and twice the love, but somehow things seen 10 times crazier. I am always busy and have very little down time and I almost never have alone time. I usually take at least one kid to the bathroom with me. Not optimal. Although, the most difficult thing have been getting both kids dressed, packed, ready and out of the house. We leave the house almost every day, but it isn't as easy. I used to just throw Walker in the car and go!

Here is a picture of us headed out of the house for our first outing.  We were taking Walker to school.  Finley was 5 days old.  I obviously thought it was noteworthy enough to have Matt photograph.

Great Grandparents

Finley has been so blessed to already meet 3 of her great-grandparents.  My Grandma and Matt's Papa and Nana are so special to us.  It means so much that they are able to know and spend time with our kiddos.  Walker and Finley love them!

My Dad picked up Grandma in Crockett. He brought her to meet Finley the week we came home from the hospital.
We made a trip to the cabin and Grandma was able to see the kids again!

Four generations of Zolfo men.  We went to Chicago to visit Matt's family at the end of July.  The kids were thrilled to see Papa and Nana.  Walker had plenty of people to entertain him and Finley was an angel.

Family of Four

I can't believe that we are now a family of four!  Life changes so quickly.  We were so exicted to get home with our little girl and start our new, crazy life.  Walker was so excited to see us!  He was anxious to show Finley around the house, her new room, his room and Baxter.  Walker gave her a great little tour.
I was trying to take some pictures of just Finley, but no way Walker was going to let that happen!  He had to squeeze himself into every picture. I was taking a picture of Finley and she started to cry and then Walker started screaming and crying too.  He wasn't used to someone else crying. He has long gotten over that.  He will know tell Finley "shhh", "stop crying", "it is okay" or give her a pacifier. He isn't very used to sharing the spotlight.
We are so blessed that Daddy D and Vivi were here to take great care of Walker, us and the house. Vivi had prepared a delicious home cooked meal. What a treat!!
It has been a huge adjustment moving from 3 to 4. There is just so much more to think about...schedules, eating times, loading carseats, entertainment, etc. We are finally getting the swing of things and we are so blessed!! Can hardly remember what life was like before our little Finley girl.

December Flew By

We had a wonderful December!  The month flew by.  We stayed so busy.  It was so fun to watch Walker truely experience Christmas.  He was so into all things having to do with baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Santa, reindeer and presents.  We are currently two months past all the Christmas festivities and Walker still asks about Christmas stuff almost daily.  Then he will remind himself "no more Christmas til next year".  The Christmas season through the eyes of a child has a way of bringing you back to reality.  Christmas is about Christ's birth and the simple things. It was so special to see Walker play with his nativity scene and tell the Christmas story in his little 2 year old voice.  We are so blessed by God's ultimate gift to us, grace and forgiveness.  Merry CHRISTmas!!
Welcome to the world Baby Bridge!
Walker was not so sure about Santa.  He asked him "where your reindeer went?"
We went to a Donuts with Santa breakfast coordinated by our sweet friends Summer and Sherry.  Just so you know, this is how all the cool kids eat donuts.
Ran up to Santa and Mrs. Claus as soon as they walked in
Santa giving Walker his Christmas book.  Walker has the deer in headlights look.
Enjoying a lollypop with Ella Grace
Walker set up this nativity all by himself.  So sweet!
Having a little taste of Jesus' birthday cake
 Birthday party for Jesus
Trains at North Park.  I couldn't get Walker to look at me the whole time.  He loves trains!

Walker loved waking up every morning to find out what his elf, Sam, was up to.
 Gingerbread House
 Merry Christmas!
 Milk and cookies for Santa
Walker checking out his goodies from Santa.  We had been up all night!  Walker woke up at 3am with a stomach bug and none of us went back to sleep.  He has never had a stomach bug and Christmas morning was not the ideal time to have our first.  He was still into Christmas, but not himself.

Halfway through upwrapping presents Walker was falling asleep. So were Mommy and Daddy.
