Happy Halloween!

Walker really enjoyed his first Halloween! He had a couple of Halloween outfits, so he got to dress up for several days that week. We just stayed home to hand out candy and Walker greeted the trick-or-treaters....from a distance! This weekend our friends, Melissa and Chuck, came to Dallas to visit. It was so much fun to see them! Can't wait from their Chicago wedding this coming summer!

Grandpa Dave and Gramma Cyndy Visit!

Matt's parents, Dave and Cyndy, came all the way from Maryland to visit Walker. Walker loved meeting his Grandpa Dave and Gramma Cyndy! They got to hold him, play with him, show him off on Skype and take him to his first restaurant. Cyndy was even generous enough to keep Walker one night while Matt and I got out of the house to grab dinner. We didn't go very far though....just the mexican food restaurant across the street. I am sure that Dave and Cyndy will have a hard time staying away from Texas for too long now!

Boy, I Have Grown!

Walker had his 2 week doctor appointment last week. Our main goal was to make sure that he had gained back to his birth weight, which was 7lbs 11oz. When we left the hospital Walker was down to 7lbs 3oz. Well, guess how much the little guy weighs now?!? 8lbs 12oz!!! He gained back his birth weight plus 1lb 1oz! His weight was in the 50th percentile. He had also grown 1.5 inches longer, from 20.25 to 21.75. This is just proof that Walker is eating like a champ and just thriving!

My mom (affectionately known to Walker as "Vivi") came to stay with Matt, Walker and I for 9 days...thank goodness! We couldn't have done it without her! She cooked, cleaned, did laundry, ran errands, helped with Walker and gave me time to relax! We had so much fun just hanging out and enjoying Walker. We even took Walker on his first outing and a quick shopping trip to Gap. Vivi was also the ever so helpful assistant to the newborn photographer. Thanks, Mom! We love you! Enjoy the pictures!

Introducing WALKER!!

Introducing (2 weeks late) precious WALKER MATTHEW!! Walker arrived on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:27 pm, weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 20.25 inches long. He is simply amazing! Matt and I are loving every moment and feel overwhelmingly blessed to have a happy and healthy baby boy! For a little while we thought that Walker was going to arrive on October 7th, but he made it just in time to celebrate his birthday on the 6th. It was a long day, but well worth it! Also, thank you to all of our wonderful family and friends for the calls and hospital visits. Enjoy the pictures from D-Day (Delivery Day)!

One More Day!!!

Walker Matthew will be here in just one short day! I am being induced tomorrow morning at 6 am. We had our last doctor's appointment today. I am sure that the doctor's office will miss us, since we have been visiting every week! The doctor predicted that Walker currently weighs 8-8 1/2 pounds, so much better than the originally thought 10 pounds. We are so blessed already, but are continuing to pray for Walker's health and a swift, easy delivery. Check back for pictures and stats tomorrow!

Walker Matthew's Nursery

Walker's nursery is officially complete! Everything is painted, hung on the wall and assembled. Good thing....because he is going to be here in less than 2 days! Our little dog, Baxter, thinks that this is HIS room. He loves the fuzzy rug and hangs out in Walker's room all of the time, so I had to include a picture of him. Poor Baxter is really in for a big surprise!
