Happy Halloween!

We had such a great Halloween!  We went to visit a couple of special neighors and then hung out at the house to greet the trick-or-treaters.  Walker was the most precious little spider that I have ever seen!

Have you ever seen a skeleton with a belly?
Trust me...he LOVES the spider costume
All better now that we have the hat

Little Gym Halloween Party

Walker and I go to a Little Gym class every Friday.  It is such a fun time to the two of us to play with friends, develop Walker's gross and fine motor skills and learn new tricks to impress Dad at home.  Little Gym hosted a little Halloween party and it was a blast. Matt got to come and see Walker in action.  Walker was all over the place....climbing, crawling through, up and over.  We rewarded Walker's hard work with Mi Cocina afterwards.

Wordless Wednesday

The Par-tay

Walker hosted quite the shin-dig for his first birthday!  He had all of his family and friends over to the house for a little fun.  We had lots of people show up (more than I expected), plus all of the grandparents and aunts were present to celebrate and take part in the festivities.  What a lucky little boy!  I had so much fun decorating, planning, cooking and preparing for Walker's first birthday party. Although, I know that his next birthday will be here before I know it and I will be planning his 2nd birthday party in the blink on an eye. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends! Thanks for celebrating Walker's first year with us!

During the party Walker wasn't acting quite like himself.  He was clingy and wouldn't play with the other kiddos.  Then while eating his cake he was trying to take a little cat naps. After everyone had left the party and Walker woke up from his afternoon nap, he was running a temperature of 103! Yikes!  Needless to say, the little guy had an ear infection.

Walker is ONE!

So here is the update that you have all been waiting for...well, maybe just the grandparents. Enjoy the pictures from Walker's big birthday!! Walker and I had such a great day hanging out and spending time together. The only thing that would have made the day better would be if Matt could have tagged along with us all day.

Walker had a blueberry muffin for breakfast on a "You're Special" plate that I painted for him.  I couldn't photograph him with it...open flames don't work well when only one parent is present.

Walker playing at the Arboretum

We met his friends Daniel and Sam at the Arboretum for lunch and cookies.  Thanks for celebrating with us!

Fun birthday balloons from Gramma and Grandpa.  Side note: I made the birthday wreath on the door. I can be crafty with lots of internet help.

Happy Birthday, Walker!!

I can't believe that Walker turned ONE today!!  What has happened to the past year?  It has just flown by.  We had such a great day!  I will post lots of pictures to share with you soon.

Dearest Walker,
Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!  You have grown up and changed so much in the past year.  It is hard to believe this time last year you were in my belly and now you are walking all over the house. We thank God for giving you to us everyday.  We are so blessed! We know that there are so many more great things to come for your future.  You have brought us unimaginable joy!  We love you!

Walker is a walker!!

Walker is walking everywhere!  He has been taking steps for almost a month and a half, but he is now a proficient walker.  He has been at it for a couple of weeks, but I have been too busy chasing him to blog about it.  He is all over the place and into everything.  He has started trying to run starting today.  I can't believe how much this little boy has changed in less than a year!  It has been amazing and a little sad (only for mommy).  Other new things that Walker has been up to....clapping, climbing, jabbering all the time, petting Baxter, brushing his hair, drinking from my cup, wanting to eat everything I eat, making funny noises and faces, uncontrollable laughing, feeding me his food, and so much more!!  He is doing new stuff everyday!

First day of School (Mother's Day Out)
He's off!!

Walker, we are so proud of you!!
