Wordless Wednesday

Tractors and More Tractors

Walker is your typical little boy...obsessed with trucks, tractors and anything else that moves.  We decided to take a trip to my parents cabin before the weather got too hot.  We were able to see my parents and Grandma and spend lots of time in the outdoors.  Walker had such a great time!  He parked himself on the tractor and begged everyone to take him on a ride.  He even fell asleep on the ranger.

Happy Easter!!

He is Risen!!  We had such a blessed Easter!  We had a house full of family.  My parents, Laura and Eliza were all here to celebrate with us!  We kicked off the weekend with taking Walker to the Fort Worth zoo.  It was totally worth the drive and Walker had such a great time!  We went the church and came home to eat lunch and have an egg hunt.  Walker was hilarious!  Walker already had a little practice...we had a couple of Easter egg hunts with friends and at church.  Walker picks up the egg, shakes, opens the egg, takes the contents and then throws the egg on the ground.  I am the one who follows behind and picked up the egg shells.  Love that little guy!!

Germany & Florida

Matt and I took a long, eventful and busy trip to Germany and Florida at the end of March.  We had such a good time and it was so nice to have a little getaway.  Although, we never could have imagined how much we missed our little guy. I couldn't skype or talk on the phone with Walker without both of us ending up in tears.  Despite missing Walker like crazy, we were able to escape and have a wonderful vacation.

Matt won both of the trips through work.  He worked so hard this past year and deserved it!  We traveled everywhere in Germany: Cologne, Stuttgart, along the Rhine River, Heidelburg, through the Black Forrest, and several other places.  We also headed over to France for the day.  Besides hopping from city to city we spent our time eating, drinking and sightseeing.

We made up for all the coming and going in Florida.  We just lounged by the pool and didn't move too much.  It was such a fun coincidence to have our friends, Jeff and Morgan, at the same resort in Marco Island.

18 Months

I can't believe that my little baby is 18 months old!!  He is so much fun!  A few things Walker is up to these days.......running, climbing up everything, jumping on furniture, hugging Baxter, following me everywhere, yelling my name over and over when I leave the room, identifying most of the alphabet and making the letter sound, loves to read books, asks for a cookie at least 25 times a day, trying to imitate everything that mommy and daddy say or do, finding airplanes in the sky, loves to feed the ducks, helping with yardwork, pretending to sweep, giggling at himself, giving hugs and kisses, has quite the sense of humor,  folds his hands to pray before meals and naps, very opinionated, and continuing to be the light of our lives.
Here are the stats from Walker's 18 month appointment:
Weight: 28 lbs. 10 oz - 93rd %tile
Length: 34.5 inches - 98th %tile

Flashback

I just saw my sweet friend, Kristen, did a post like this on her blog and I couldn't resist copying.  I can't believe that this was my little guy just one year ago!  He hadjust starting grabbing his feet all the time and eating rice cereal.  Now as I have been chasing him around the house I can't help but think how amazing, crazy and heart-wrenching it is all at the same time.  He is just growing up too fast!!
Walker still plays with that ball. He is just kicking and throwing it these days.
