Baby Pool

We have been trying to beat the heat here in Dallas.  We pulled out Walker's baby pool from last year and BOTH went for a swim.  Yeah, it was a tight squeeze.  After I got in, Walker politely tried pushing me out to give himself more room.  Can't say that I blame him.  We had a great time and then Sarah came over and joined us for a picnic on the kitchen floor.

Letter A

I decided that Walker and I needed a little fun and free entertainment to help us pass the hot summer days.  We decided to do a letter of week.  We started last week with A.  It was so much fun! We went to the library and checked out A books, made an apple pie and paper airplanes, visited the flight museum, learned about the Noah's Ark, and all sort of fun stuff.  Enjoy the pictures!
W does this everytime you ask him to hold up his artwork and smile.

 Once again...

reenacting how to misbehave  on a plane.  W is very good at this!

Puppy Love

Walker LOVES Baxter!  He is always in Baxter's face...giving him a hug, telling him to "sit" or "stay, gifting him with food, chasing him, and on and on.  If Baxter could talk...he would probably tell you stories that nobody would believe.  Unfortunately for Baxter, the love isn't always mutual.

Where Did Walker Learn This Stuff?

 Makin' momma proud
Pulled it from the wall.  W is only familiar with cell phones
Yes, those are scissors.  He pulled the box off the counter and got the scissors out of the drawer.  I don't even know how he reached them!  They have since been relocated.
Walker watches and imitates every little thing we do!  Scary!!

Little Drummer Boy

Walker was rockin' out on the drums.  He was great at playing them and kept everyone entertained.  We had to pull him away kicking and screaming, literally.

Indy 500

Matt has been to the Indy 500 every year since he was 3.  It is something special that Matt has shared with his dad, grandfather and uncles.  And now he got to experience the track with Walker.  We took Walker to carborator day where they have cars racing and pit stop stuff happening. (Honestly, I don't get it.  I just people watch. Best people watching ever!)  Walker loved the ear plugs and wore them the rest of the day.  We spent the rest of the weekend in Illinois visiting the Mathis family and the Zolfo family.  We had a great time seeing famly and catching up with everyone.
